Small Groups

Small Groups are where people gather in homes to chat, study the Bible, pray, and care for each other.

Small Groups offer an opportunity for the core ministries of our church to continue to function, to be nurtured and to be developed. In Small Groups the function of mutual pastoral care is most effective. As people get to know one another, trust each other, and commit to looking after one another, friendships are formed and opportunities to serve one another arise.

Small Groups offer an excellent way to invite new people into our community. It is much easier to get to know a smaller group of people meeting on a regular basis than trying to connect with different people each Sunday morning.

We are more likely to discover each other’s gifts and talents as we interact in Small Groups. We have more space to experiment, to learn, to practice, to encourage and to pray for one another. Identifying gifts and matching them with needs is a fundamentally important part of discipleship that happens best in Small Groups.

In a Small Group you will have the opportunity to experience new areas of growth, develop mutually caring relationships, study the Bible, and grow closer to the Lord Jesus.

The best and most personal care you will experience in this church will be in the context of a Small Group.

We have groups that cater for everyone - daytime or evening; weeknight or weekends; for young families, youth, new mums, older folk and everyone else.

Nearly half our people meet together regularly for study and nurture in Small Groups. In a Small Group you can explore a passage more thoroughly, be challenged more personally, and care for others more thoughtfully.

As the congregation grows in number, Small Groups become even more vital to the health of our church. If you are interested in joining a Small Group please contact Daryl Minter (ph. 5944 4479).
